Jason Nelson's "Another Emotion" is a digital poem about the word "pattern." Nelson uses seven different colors to distinguish the seven parts of the poem. Each section is accompanied by a distinct piano soundtrack as well as an image that can be revealed by rolling over a highlighted word in the text. If any number of special words is clicked, the viewing will be randomly placed, and pictures will show on the back. Nelson expresses his opinion about the word “pattern.” Although its design is simple, it allows the audience to follow easily and feel comfortable when reading the poem. As he said that in the poem, "Each pattern is not different, just as each pattern is not same. There are no ones or greens or fives or blues. There are only patterns." Through the poem, Nelson suggests that patterns are infinite and can include everything just like the wide ocean.
