The intention with this project, for me, was to create an immersive website that felt sufficiently lo-fi and authentic to the aesthetic and emotion of reading old chat logs. I hoped to make it feel like like poring through some restricted information tucked deep in the web, and hopefully harvest a bit of fear from that. I think finding a balance between interface organization and an authentic crudeness to the design was the most difficult part for me. I hope I found an appropriate and effective balance- this project was a lot of fun to construct, and I hope you enjoyed navigating it!
