I first learned how to code in HTML and how to style in CSS through my time at Washington State University. While here, I took a multimedia authoring class taught by Richard Snyder where I was introduced to coding for the very virst time. During this class, I learned a lot of information on creating websites and found a passion for coding in HTML.
During my time at WSU, I took both Multimedia Authuring (which taught HTML coding and CSS styling) as well as Advanced Multimedia Authuring (Javascript and mode advanced HTML coding). I am knowledgeable in making a website mobile first, how to style with CSS, how to make grid layouts, and more. I have already several webpages as a part of class projects. Feel free to browse the ones that I have listed here!
This is the Blackbird Project. A class assignment which instructed us to create a webpage for the poem "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird" by Wallace Stevens. The assignment introduced us to creating grids and gave us the opportunity to practice styling.

Next we have my Recipe Project. This was an assignment that introduced use to more complicated means of styling and displaying information onto a webpage. We also were strongly encouraged to take advantage of Adobe Colors, a free program that helps users select consistant color palettes.

Thirdly, let's discuss my Narrative Project. This was my personal favorite project to make, and it's one that I am very satisfied with the results. This project introduced us to nav bars and it taught us the importance of making a consistant nav bar to imrove the user experience and make navigating the website easy.

Lastly, we have my Capstone Project, which was my final for my DTC 201 class. We were instructed to pick a social-cultural subject and make a website about it. Making this website gave me the opportunity to practice my coding skills and experiment with a new layout design.
