Collaborating with Margarete Strawn and eight other research fellows in the Mobile Tech Research Initiative, we designed and constructed Dick Hannah Customer Care from the ground up over a period of twelve weeks. The app features the creation of a profile which allows the user to to enter their vehicle information, store it, and push their data to Dick Hannah's auto service centers to make appointments with ease.
Sweet Dreams is an independent supernatural role-playing game for which our client - Aaron Coquet - requested we develop an online character creation tool in order to ease play, increase the game's online presence and expose it to a larger player community. As a consulting group, Hunter Crawford, Margarete Strawn, and Michael Tomko started with a competitive analysis, comparing Sweet Dreams to competing systems. Then we drafted and administered a requirements test to determine the experience of our user group with both role-playing games and computers. Afterwards, we met again with our client to develop mockups, which we refined into a testable prototype. Using the prototype, we administered a task analysis test to see how the user would interact with the Sweet Dreams Character Creator. After reviewing the findings, we drafted a report with recommendations for the client.
The content of this grimoire is constructed digitally, then transferred to printed transparencies. The true form of the book comes when these transparencies are placed over rag paper treated with a cyanotype emulsion, printing via an alternative photographic process.
