"This song is about school shootings. It’s a tricky subject and we don’t ever want to push our sensibilities on to people, but we want to forward the discussion on gun control on behalf of our kids and those effected by mass shootings. It’s a sensationalized topic and when it happens people are glued to their tv’s and social media, but they never ask the right questions. Why is this happening? The media seems to glorify the shooter and it becomes the sensationalized headline for the week, then it’s gone. There are all these families and kids whose lives are forever changed. That is something we need to talk about, we never say we have the answer, we just want to talk about it."
