This project was used as an introduction to hand-coding websites for DTC 355. This site is my representation of Wallace Stevens' "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird." This site helped students learn the basics of HTML and CSS.
This project was used as an aid to help students learn the concept of responsive design in a website. Using one of my favorites, I created a website that focused on the process while trying to maintain visual hierarchy. As my recipe is from an older cookbook, I also added a notes section at the bottom for viewers who are not aware of some of the steps/tools mentioned.
The nature of this project was to code a website that followed a specific sequence. I decided to use Robert Frost's The Road Not Taken as I do enjoy that poem and thought that it would be a good inspiration for the visual design of the site. I had to learn how to incorporate Skrollr, the coding that enabled the scrolling effect, into the site to add an element of animation.
