I had a lot of fun learning about HTML and CSS. On the right, you can see the development of my skills with each of these projects.
The first one was created as soon as I learned the very basics of html and css. It's an info-card about cockatiels. As you can see, the whole thing looks very awkward. I couldn't even change the color of the text, because I wasn't aware of the right CSS for that. I was also attempting to do a grid-based design, trying to make it look sleek and cool like some examples I saw shown in class.
The next project involved designing a website for a poem called "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird" by Wallace Stevens. We learned a few new CSS techniques. I think I improved a bit, judging from the differences between this project and the first. Of course, there's still plenty of room to get better.
The third project was creating a website for a recipe. I utilized ChatGPT for some parts of the assignment, and sighted a real recipe for snowskin mooncakes online. My aesthetic eye has probably improved the most, and it truly shows here.
The culmination of everything I learned can be reflected in this final project. We were tasked to create a narrative of our choice. I chose to create a sort of introduction to an animated webseries that I discovered during the process of doing this asignment. I really liked experimenting with Javascript here.
I am a senior at Washington State University in Vancouver, majoring in Management of Information Systems. I work part time as a Business Analyst at Argos Scientific USA and in my spare time, My hobbies include reading webtoons, playing games and watching asian dramas. In the future, I would like to travel the the world and try new hobbies such as theatre or fashion.
