Hello! Thank you for visiting my site! I had many difficulties and errors in this project, but I was able to learn. Obviously, there is still more to learn and improve this project. Coding may not be the best skill for me, but it was still interesting to understand HTML and CSS.
The reason why I decided to do my project about flowers is because I’ve always loved them. Whatever project I did, I had to get involved with flowers or plants. I grew up around them, more like my mother who was the first to introduce me to it. She loves plants and flowers; our home was surrounded by them. In the kitchen, living room, bathroom. Everywhere you go, you will see them, and I find it amazing. Guests would come over and ask her about them, how she takes care of them, what kind of plants they are. The way my mother’s eyes light up whenever she talks about them. One day she gave me one of her plants and let me take care of it. Since that day, I began to love them. I would buy some from stores, gave some to my mom. I have a few in my room. Whenever I need help, I don’t need Google because my mom knows it all!
Now, I’ve been fascinated by public gardens. They are so beautiful to look at, you can see many people having picnics, taking pictures in front of them. Many love flowers, and who doesn’t? I had a dream, where I owned a public garden and made it as beautiful as I could. This inspired me to do this project. If I had a garden, what kind of flowers would I add to it?
My process throughout this project was hectic. I had to ask a lot of questions to ChatGPT. A big issue I had was forgetting a word, or I would mistype a word, which can cause problems for your website. So first, I would open a Word document and write a list of flowers I would want in my garden, the main ones, of course. Then I would write a paragraph about them, about their facts and history. I wanted this to be like a tour, an outline of my garden. So, I used a long grid as my base for my website and placed another grid inside it. For the title page, I used Adobe Illustrator, created the image, and made the title an outline with a wave effect. Most of the pictures I used were from the internet.
