Raphael, like most fashion designers creates his sketches with traditional media (markers, pencils, charcoal, watercolor) and will often scan them into a program like Photoshop or Illustrator to add in finishing touches, if necessary.
The conceptualization process of design requires the art supplies that you would use to normally create a work of art. However, the production stages require the sourced fabric, threads, sewing machines, and the production team.
