Located near Washington State University in Salmon Creek, this park serves approximately 3,889 children under the age of 15. New play equipment is needed to replace and upgrade old structures and to provide more usable and accessible outdoor recreation. Providing an ADA recommended swing will allow children with disabilities the opportunity to improve sensory integration and social interaction and inclusion in the neighborhood playground setting. This grant will update the play equipment with pieces that are suitable for 2-5 year olds and install more traditional pieces that invite play and interaction among children.
