Why the Parks Foundation:

It’s important to not only myself but to Waste Connections to continually support the work of organizations in which they aim to touch and enhance the lives of every individual in our community. The Parks Foundation strives to ensure our parks remain a safe and valuable resource to our community as well as reaching out and providing additional resources such as grants to other local groups that are mission lined.

Favorite Park(s):

My greatest memories raising my children here in Vancouver, are the summer days we shared having picnics and playing in our Parks. First Park is Esther Short we attend many festivals and always enjoy the Farmers Market. Second is Salmon Creek Regional Park/Klineline Pond my husband would take the kids there to fish or catch a quick dip on a hot summer’s day. Third but not least is Burnt Bridge Creek Trail; located just down the street from our home we spent most of our time riding bikes, searching for frogs, walking our dog or just enjoying nature in this park. My biggest testimony to parks is that now that my children are grown and two of the three still reside here in Clark County, we all still enjoy the days in our parks!!!!
