Washougal Bike Park

The Washougal Bike Park in Washougal is a fantastic, unique recreational opportunity for our area! In 2015 and 2016 the Parks Foundation helped jump-start this project with $11,000 in grants for the first phases of the Skills Course. This year the City of Washougal is fundraising for the final phase of the Pump and Jump Tracks and your assistance is needed now.Completion of the bike park makes the sight a significant and well-rounded biking experience for all levels of riders.

Phase two of the bike park will add both a “pump track” and a “jump track” to the existing course. The pump track consists of sculpted earth mounds and engineered structures for riders to gain momentum on down slopes and propel them to the next mound.  The pump track provides an introduction to bike riding and mountain biking for young and inexperienced riders. The jump track is a more advanced course to allow riders to increase their skills and to learn to ride the course features safely. Completion of the bike park makes the site a significant and well-rounded biking experience for all levels of riders and provides youth a space to develop the physical dexterity of balance, coordination, strength and endurance. The park’s educational opportunities will provide a full spectrum of bicycle education and course stewardship as a skill base that can be used anywhere in the world of mountain biking and on-street.
