This was an introductory web design project. The object was to interpret the poem, "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird" by Wallace Stevens. I wanted to use the photographs of Eadweard Muybridge, a contemporary of Wallace, to show the progress of a bird in flight. Mr. Muybridge did not photograph a blackbird, so I used his images of an eagle in flight (the other bird photo series' available were a vulture and a pigeon). Click on each stanza to see the bird in flight.
Another web design class assignment. The object was to create a responsive design for a recipe. In this project I wanted to use layers to reveal the main flavor ingredient. The recipe comes from a book written by Jamie Cat Callan, so her photo and the cover of her book are also included in the design.
The object for this project was to create a website that tells a story. I chose to tell the story of George Washington, the founder of Centralia, Washington - a very admirable man. The technical challenge of this project was to use Skrollr to navigate the site.
This was a team project to create a DnD 5th edition Character Generator. My role was to design the front end. I chose to use artwork from the Wizards' Fan Site in accordance with their policy. We used Semantic UI for interface elements and Django to manage the database.
