Multimodal Narrative

One of my finest works. This website was assigned to me in WSU Vancouver's DTC 355 class as a less conventional assignment. The objective was to create a responsive website which would tell a narrative to the user, and use multiple instances of media for visual or aural flare. I decided to dedicate it to telling the story of one of my favorite characters in Star Wars Legends: Kasan Moor. On top of using many images to go along nicely with each part of the tale, I also used a clever little transition technique to naturally engage the user in the experience. This involved having all of the elements start off with low transparency, but then fading in when the user hovers their mouse over it. An excellent demonstration of putting my skills together to create an engaging user experience.

Info Card

An early assignment I was given in WSU Vancouver's DTC 355 class. This invovled me creating a one-page website from the ground-up. The topic was left up to me to decide, so I settled on an idea for an information page for the video game Quake II. The process for each phase of constructing the website was meticuous, and demonstrates my skills in each of the important areas for web design. Those being html language, css language, responsive design, and accessibility. It also is a great example of my ability to keep my website design simple yet appealing in appearance, not going overboard with superflous detail.
