As stated before, art has always been something that I’ve enjoyed. In high school I decided to take an Illustration class my Junior year along with ceramics. I had also previously taken an animation class but the illustration one was the first time I had ever experienced drawing digitally. It opened this huge realm of possibilities that I can finally explore and enjoy. My favorite strategy for this particular method of media is drawing by hand on paper first and then taking a photo to import into the desired program. That way I can refine the design more easily and use all those vibrant and exciting colors that are otherwise difficult without the right marker or other coloring device. I also ended up taking a Graphic Design class as well and learned a lot about branding and how important it is to make a desirable but distinguishable logo design to stand out from everything else. This was mirrored in my Social Media class when trying to market a service or product and then it has been again in my Multimedia Design class. These all are helping to further my skills in digital spaces and making me more adept at things that are vital to my own success if I want to have my own small business one day.
