Contact someone who knows and cares about you. It should be a person who will be there for you anytime of the day.

2. Use a Safety Plan

3. Remove Immediate Threats

Leave your home now if you are around guns, knives, pills, or anything that you would hurt yourself with. Find a safe place to calm down. Get a friend who cares to remove these dangers from your home.

Be aware that getting drunk and high can make your condition worse.

4. Focus on Activities

Distract yourself from suicidal thoughts with activities. Do various things like jogging, walking, swimming, biking, take a nap, take a hot shower, watch an uplifting movie, read a book, clean, go shopping, go to the park, play with pets, volunteer, or anything that makes you feel good.
