I have always loved writing and I've dreamed of becoming a published author. I've actually got some background in Journalism, both as a writer and a copy editor, and while at WSUV I focused on writing courses as well as Computer Science and Digital Technology coursework. Foster Care Research Project

This somewhat personal research paper looks into the Foster Care Licensing Process in Washington, and discusses the pros and cons of the current system. It critiques some of the advertising schemes that were popular and questions some of the restrictions and regulations of the current system, while outlining and acknowledging the depth of the crisis that foster care is experiencing.

Technical Writing

As part of my degree program I learned about writing about technology in such a way as to make stereo instructions (or printer manuals) more readable and useful.

Through the use of color, headings, and various other design techniques, I can create more useable documents, such as this redesign project for an HP printer manual.
