September 4  Week 2 Visual Design: Line, Shape, Framing

6-6:30              Quiz over Graphic Design, pp. 13-28, 84-113, slides for last two weeks, and definitions
6:30-7:15         Presentation & critique: Line, shape, framing
7:15-8:15         In-Class Project: Launcher icon for a mobile app; discussion of app guidelines, resolution, and  PhotoShop
8:15-8:30         Final reflection of topic
Homework for next week:  Read Graphic Design, pp. 29-69; 185-197, slides for the week, and look over definitions.

7:15-8:15         In-Class Project: Website home page; discussion of web design principles (i.e. rule of thirds, findability); more assistance with PhotoShop and Illustrator

Studio Time: Students will meet in The Move Lab to work on the Multimedia, Interactive Environment.

Performance Night:  Students will perform their multimedia, interactive performance.  This event will take place in downtown Vancouver at Nouspace Gallery.
