So far dozens of countires have issued stay-at-home quarantines and have implemented social distancing measures. Non-essential businesses have been closed down until further notice, while health care providers are at the front of the fight. It is recommended to remain 6 feet apart from others if possible at all times, and to avoid large gatherings altogether. Many states across the United States have adopted these same guidelines.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends people to wash their hands often, for at least 20 seconds if they have been in a public space. Hand sanitizer of at least 60% can also be used, especially if someone has been blowing their nose, coughing, or sneezing. One should also avoid touching their face with unclean hands as much as possible. The CDC also recommends to wear a facemask ONLY if you are sick or are caring for someone who is sick, as they are in short supply.
