Researching Problems
Students have opportunities at college that don't normally come their way. My research project is a good example of that. Already conducting some research on my own into the attitudes and perceptions that surrounded vaccines, my Professor, Dr. Nanu Iyer, asked if I would be willing to take the project on as an official research project. The following poster is the culmination of Phase 1. I was due to give an actual presentation, however Covid19 redirected us all. So all participants made posters and displayed research online at WSU Vancouver's Showcase.
In all of my classes at WSU Vancouver I have conducted research of various types. In COMSTRAT 310 and 476, I had the opportunity to do consumer research as well.
VACCINE HESITANCY STUDY

In the winter of 2018 and 2019, we had a measles outbreak that showed the attitudes and perceptions people had regarding vaccinations. The Media, in all of its forms, contributed greatly to advancing a polarization of the nation into pro-vaccine and anti-vaccine. This study sought to find out if there really were just two camps, why this phenomena was occurring and what could be done to bring everyone back together.
VALUE PROPOSITION

In COMSTRAT 476, Consumer Insights, my group was tasked with researching the environment around fast food and the sub-sandwich market in order to help our assigned client, Subway. We learned all about branding, competition and consumer insights. We then used our information to test consumer preferences. I made this Value Proposition for our consumer testing.
