Spirit Tales of the Vancover Barracks

These tours take place at the historic Vancouver Barracks in Vancouver, Washington, and run June through November 2020.
The Vancouver Barracks was founded in 1849, and members of the United States military served there until 2011. In those years, thousands of service members, their families, civilians, and prisoners walked its grounds. For more than 150 years, they left their mark and memories on the land and its buildings. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, you will be interested in the stories of the past inhabitants.
The Spirit Tales of the Vancouver Barracks tour is designed and led by local historian and author Jefferson Davis. He served at the Barracks for many years, and has first-hand experience with both the spooky and ordinary history of the area.
October Haunted Walking Tours
TICKETS ON SALE SEPTEMBER 1ST!
Tours will take place Oct. 23-28 at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Each walking tour is:
- lead by volunteer guides
- conducted rain or shine
- limited to 25 people
- lasts between 60-75 minutes
- averages around a mile long
- features between 10-15 historic sites
- open to everyone – best suited for those 13 years of age and older
(anyone over the age of six requires a ticket)
A mix of stories, memories, research, and personal experiences, our tours are a fascinating glimpse through the veil of the beyond. Many of our tales of history and terror are drawn from the book “Darkness Next Door,” penned by Clark County historian, Pat Jollota.
