There are eight levels of regular membership in the Historical Society:

| Individual* | Free admission for one person | $40 |
| Family | Free admission for two adults and two children | $60 |
| Associate** | Free admission for two adults and any children living at home | $100 |
| Historian | Free admission for four adults and any children living at home | $250 |
| Curator | Free admission for four adults and any children living at home | $500 |
| Steward | Free admission for four adults and any children living at home | $1000 |
| Visionary | Free admission for four adults and any children living at home | $2500 |
*Members at the Individual ($40 dues) level and higher have a vote at the CCHS Annual Membership Meeting.
**Members at the Associate ($100 dues) level and higher also receive North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) member privileges—including reduced admission rates (usually free) plus discounts at museum shops and on concert and lecture tickets—at more than 650 NARM-affiliated institutions across the United States and Canada. Guests are included only if they present a current membership card validated by the gold North American Reciprocal Museum sticker, so don’t leave home without it!
