Mission to Earth

Stellenet has had their ears turned towards the transmissions coming from Earth for a little while now. They were so far away that it made it hard to decide on when the right time to come out here would be. We have some information on Earth's intelligence levels, and they aren't technologically far behind the more advanced societies who live closer to the center of the Milky Way. Surprisingly they have only figured out manned space travel as far as their moon. They might not have the raw resources for fuel and the same metals that we do in our local cluster and solar system. Most planets I have been to are barren, but they have massive mineral deposits and small communal outposts where life carries on.

It is pretty cool to travel to each solar system and get a glimpse of the different inner workings of the planets. Some of them are tilted, there are a lot of gaseous planets here, but by comparison my birth system was very rocky and cold. I never expected to actually visit a colorful planet, but here I am, on my way. The images we’ve received through some transmissions were unreal. There is a lot more flowing water than we had ever seen before. So we were looking to travel here at some point in the near future. Actually we had planned on having a larger shuttle venture out to Earth, rather than just me. Plans changed pretty drastically when distress signals are received.
