Creed Bratton is the eccentric and mysterious Quality Assurance Director at Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch. Throughout the series, he's known for his bizarre behavior, cryptic statements, and often questionable moral compass. Little is known about his personal life, except that he was once homeless and now stays in his apartment 3 days a week and lives out of the office 4 days a week, sleeping under his desk. He often speaks in a disjointed and confusing manner, making him one of the more enigmatic figures in the office.
Even though he is titled the Quality Assurance Director, he doesn’t seem to do much throughout the show, nor does he seem to know what his job is. Once he was asked about his job and he couldn’t remember the name of his title, he said it was something along the lines of “Quabity Auschwitz”. He couldn’t even explain to his boss what he does for the company in that position.
Creed is frequently involved in strange and comical situations, such as stealing items from the office, faking his own death, and generally avoiding work whenever possible. He's known for his love of rock music and is shown to have a dark and criminal past, with hints at having participated in illegal activities. He has also shared that he has been part of a cult, both as a cult leader and a follower. He liked it more as a follower.
After previous manager Dwight Shrute fired a gun in the office, the owner of Dunder Mifflin decided to put the person who was with the company the longest in charge. Creed managed to get this role as manager while a search committee looked for a permanent replacement. For the other employees working there, this turned out to be a nightmare full of inorganizations and acronym making.
