Kevin Malone is the slow-witted, yet good-natured, bumbling employee at Dunder Mifflin with a big lack of “knowing his audience”. He is the head of the accounting department after being hired by Michael Scott because Michael “had a feeling about him”. Kevin is known for his unique sense of humor and his constant blunt and offensive comments towards his co-workers. He is very unaware of the offense his comments usually come with.
Kevin has been apart of the accounting group in Dunder Mifflin's Scranton Branch since he was hired. In the accounting group, he works along side Angela Martin and Oscar Martinez. Both of whom don't think he is qualified enough to work there and they especially do not think he is qualified to be the head of the department.
Arguably Kevin's most iconic moment in the office. Kevin brought in homemade chili which he calls "Kevins Famous Chili". He wanted his co-workers to try this self proclaimed amazing chili. He was met with a broken elevator when he showed up to work which made him have to carry it to the office. This is when the chili met its demise...
