“I am excited about the opportunity to co-learn, and contribute real world experiences related to working with clients and project management on mobile launches.”
Aaron May
“As both the CMDC squire and Dick Hanna Dealerships’ Social Media Strategist, I feel a strong connection to this project. I am interested in how a mobile application will strengthen the customer-employee relationship, and how our work may shape the future of e-savvy dealerships nation-wide.”

“My Focus at MTRI is on transmedia. I’m interested in figuring out the different uses of the app we create as it moves into the rest of the client’s media strategy. As an academic, I want to explore some of the design concepts surrounding apps and write about them. The Mobile Tech Research Initiative is a prototype program and I’m interested in seeing how replicable it will be for other academic programs around the world.”
Post Baccalaureate Fellow
Jeannette Altman
“As a designer, I am looking for new ways to use technology to interact with people; I consider the Mobile Tech Research Initiative an incredible opportunity and count myself lucky to work with such a talented group of people.”
MTRI Undergraduate Fellows
Hunter Crawford
“During spring semester I was able to work on the mobile website for The CMDC Program as a senior seminar project, researching the emerging design constraints for mobile devices through iterative design. With apps, we are not only dealing with a new screen for old content, but working with devices that link human interaction and digital space in ways never before seen, creating entirely new affordances. The Mobile Tech Research Initiative is an excellent opportunity to further explore this exciting field.”
Natalya Gruntkovsky
Michael Langlois
“My focus in our DTC program is in multimedia authoring and when I first heard about this program I was interested immediately. It’s hard not to notice the surge of mobile media and it would be silly to ignore an opportunity such as this.”
Kerri Lingo
“This is an incredible time in regards to technology with all its possibilities. There has been an explosion of development with the introduction of smartphones and tablets, particularly with what seems to be their endless capabilities. The MTRI is a great opportunity for me by contributing to my education through a real world experience. Through this process, I get to investigate, research, and collaborate with professors and students to formulate and construct something completely new, and possibly, groundbreaking in the app world. I am truly excited to be a part of a program that is so cutting edge.”
Anaya Martella
“I decided to participate in the MTRI program because I wanted to get hands on experience in regards to the process of creating a digital product for a client.”
Chad McClure
Artem Popov
“I was glad to take the opportunity to participate in the MTRI program because learning new things is fun, and it’s exciting to be a part of this largely unexplored new field of mobile technology.”
