New Media Developer
Salary £24,000 – £26,000 per annum (pro rata) dependent on skills and experience
Fixed Term Contract to 31st October 2014
The Science Museum, London, a world renowned Museum that brings to life the history of science, technology and medicine, is seeking a highly-motivated New Media professional. Would you like to join our New Media team, contributing to the development of our awe-inspiring and award winning exhibitions and galleries?
We are looking for a talented individual who has a passion for New Media. The role demands creative and technical (e.g. Flash, HTML 5) expertise for the development of digital exhibits. We would like to meet someone passionate about digital interpretation, and believes that it is an exciting way to explain stories, ideas, people and objects.
On a daily basis the successful candidate will take a creative lead in developing the digital strategy for many new exhibitions and developing new exhibits using current software. A level of project management skill is also necessary in order to provide the digital elements on time and to budget. This role could also edit existing film footage for use in the gallery. Finally this role will review and upgrade existing software on the gallery floor and support other team members in their development of digital interactives.
The position sits at the heart of our exhibitions programme and is critical to the development of new digital approaches here at the Science Museum.
