RED MONA

SIMONE DE MILO
Simone de Milo, "Mona," steps out of a Guy de Maupassant story and into her own life. "Petit Soldat," translated into English as "Two Little Soldiers," now becomes Three Little Soldiers as Mona's life takes shape. Approximately, fifty French Flash cards appear in random order to tell Mona's mosaic-like story. Please allow time for the initial background to load. The cards themselves come up fairly quickly. Click on the frame to hear the French phrase on the card.

C'EST SI BON.
Special thanks to Joel Lipman who gave me the original French Flash Cards in their natural state. Bradley Spatz provided expert web engineering. Thanks to Purplefrog and especially to Robert Forsman for his computer kung fu and for helping the Red Mona Project find a home. Phil Gelb was also instrumental in bringing the piece to fruition. The lovely voice you hear in the audio files is that of Marie-Françoise Hutchison.
