"Light Murder"

I know how this looks putting a murder section right after the childhood part, but it’s not wrong. My mum loved watching murder mysteries, claiming they were “light murder.” She’s right this is light murder, and I loved watching murder mystery, and regular mystery shows because of her. My favorites of the ones she’d watch were Murdoch Mysteries, Grimm, and Leverage. Murdoch is about a detective, set in 1920’s Canada who solves murders with the police and the girl he ends up liking, the forensic scientist.
Grimm is also about a detective who solves murders with the police but the twist is he’s a Grimm. A Grimm can see who are different monsters (Wsesn) and who isn’t. Each time he solves a case the culprit or victim is most often Wesen and has a story around being Wesen in a normal world.
Leverage isn’t technically a murder mystery show, but it’s a crew of thieves, hackers, grifters, and an actress who do terrible things, to terrible people and get revenge for the good guys. Although I didn’t care for the large overarching plot of each of them, I still loved these shows.
I used to give my mum a hard time for watching these murder shows, but whenever she tried to watch them on the TV, the whole family would end up on the couch with her, invested in the story. She tried moving it to the tv in her room, but we’d all still follow her because we needed to know how the story ended!
“You hit me with a death pillow!” (TV show)
“Man you’re one damn fine looking man.” (TV Show)
“BUUUUUD WORK THE LACES!” (TV Show)
