I, Jade Goggin, am an artist.
I am in college duel mejoring in Digital Tech and Culture and Fine Arts.
I mainly create Digital Art but have made pleanty of other art forms, such as paintings, sculptures, graphite works, and more. I also know how to animate in 2D, and have experince with programs before in 3D animation as well.
Besides art forms, I also know how to code. This entire portfolio website is coded by myself.
I have experienced many different hobbies and have history in a few different fields. For instance, I used to be a pre-company dancer at Groove Nation before I started college. You can find out about more of my current hobbies in the Talent and Hobbies section.
I am a hard worker and the more I like the job, the harder I usually work.
I am a self taught digital artist. I have been creating digital artworks since I got my hands on technology as a kid. When I was in Middle School and most of Highschool, I made digital art on my phone. Before then, I had made it on computer with a mouse. How I currently make my digital art is on my laptop.
Digital art is my favorite form to work in. You can do so much and have access to any color you want, let alone brush types.
As I made digital art throughout my life my style can be seen constantly changing. On the outside this can show my growth and change as a person, as well as my art skill throughout the years. In a more inside view it shows the styles that influenced me the most or ones I loved at the time, and those styles and techniques slowly morphing into my own personal style.
I have been interested in crafting my whole life. The ability to make things, anything you wanted if you do it well enough. I would like to keep trying new crafting forms in the future.
I have tried many different styles of creation throughout my life. For example, the hand sculpture I made for an art project, it’s main work was put into welding together the hand. Another art project I had created for the same class however, I had sewn fabrics together to create a patchy stuffed bunny, but then drenched it in resin, solidifying it and making it hard as a rock.
What I am most known with my friends and family for making craft-wise is resin-crafts. Resin is such an interesting and cool material. I have done several personal projects of encasing insects and plants in resin, as well as filling in molds to create things like figures and dice. I am interested in learning how to cast silicone molds as well, so I can create my own molds to create resin figures from (I even have horns and an antler saved up for when I know how to make molds properly).
I also know the basics in sewing from taking a summer school fashion class. I have sewed together a few halloween costume pieces in the past and have fixed a few things as well.
I have always loved animated shows, and 2D animation is basically making many many drawings that together become a moving piece of art.
I used to draw little gifs on my phone when I was in middle school. I love making animated pieces and hope I can make fully animated videos some day, it is just a lot of work and very time consuming to animate in general.
I have made a few small "animated memes" before and hope I can make fully animated videos for fun in the future.
I have loved video games all my life. I have been playing games since I was a kid.
Video games have given me a way to learn, enjoy a story, and even spark creativity, as I have made some fan art for games, and got ideas for my own work from games I love.
Video games are a very creative way of storytelling and entertainment. I will always love them, and even if I could never make my own, I hope to one day be able to at least help with the creation of one.
